In a rush to get to the giveaway, Homer dumps the silo in the lake, critically polluting it. Moments later, a squirrel stumbles into it and becomes severely mutated with many eyes, another part of the prophecy. While bonding on a hike, Bart and Flanders notice the squirrel, which the EPA capture. Russ Cargill, head of the EPA, informs president Arnold Schwarzenegger on Springfield's pollution crisis.
However, three times Homer fails, so the carny gives him another try, just to see him get hurt. Lisa advises her father to speed up when he reaches the top, enabling him to win. As the Simpsons drive off in their new truck, the carny's Siamese twin cousins are a bit furious because the carny had forgotten that he had to take them on vacation. At the church service the next day, there is a brief tribute to the passing of Green Day, the most recent band to die in Springfield. After the parishioners overhear Homer's rants about going to church, reverend Timothy Lovejoy is up to the prayers of the faithful. First Ned told the reverend that he had to confess to an "immodest sense of pride in our community" , although Lovejoy then amends his statement to exclude Flanders this time around before Flanders could mention it.

As Homer leaves Eski-Moe's he grabs on to a passing truck and uses it to propel himself back to the house, a tribute to actor Buster Keaton, while the epiphany scene features homages to the film Brazil and the works of Salvador Dalí. Hillary Clinton appears as Itchy's vice president, while an Orc from The Lord of the Rings appears in the mob scene. A scene that was cut had Marge and the kids appear on the TV talk show The View to spread the news of Springfield's impending doom. Parts were written for the show's entire panel and the scene was planned to feature Russ Cargill having a gunfight with Joy Behar.
She then punches him and then is forced to flee and run with her family as Russ Cargill and his crew arrive. Russ Cargill, now mad with power, is determined to keep anyone from getting out of the dome and to get the Simpsons back in. Lou then disables his skateboard, which sends Bart crashing and flying thru mid-air and splat onto a window of Krusty Burger. He leaves Bart handcuffed to a pole, then enters Krusty Burger with Chief Wiggum and Eddie, as Nelson began laughing "Haw-Haw" at Bart till sunset and his throat is hoarse.
Trains (Minions): The Rise of Homer
While the character animation is about the same as a normal episode from the later seasons, there are visual elements that have gotten an upgrade. For example, the backgrounds are more detailed than filled with prominent colored shading. In order to save his family and Springfield, Homer disguises himself as General Marriott Suites and knocks out a guard that was guarding the site.

Also, the plot of ‘The Simpsons Movie’ is so tight, that it wouldn’t make sense to continue in the next feature. What we can expect from the plot of the sequel though is an equally bonkers story surrounding the family of oddballs, and their yet another adventure in Springfield . Due to having to record some scenes over one hundred times, Julie Kavner was left exhausted and couldn't record for a week or so; and since the release of the movie, fans have noticed that her voice has been declining ever since. Lisa and Colin progressively combine their efforts to present everyone with "An Irritating Truth" in the Springfield Hall. When Lisa's tactic is convinced, Moe stats to the town that they hate young kids, but Mayor Quimby finally gets to Lisa's point and forbids any more dumping, declaring a state of emergency.
Worst Twist Endings That Ruined Thriller Movies
86 helicopters hoist the dome over the town and places it upon Springfield , much to the horror of the Simpsons and the inhabitants of Springfield. Marge sees the words EPA on the side of the helicopter and realizes that Grampa's prophecy has come true. Though Lisa states that they've cleaned up, Cargill throws back by exclaiming that someone did not get the message. As they finish their song they try to talk for a moment about the environment, which elevates the audience and prompts the audience to throw trash and boo at the band.
When Marge sees the new in the television, she tells Homer that they must return to Springfield to save their town and friends, but Homer is not convinced if people of Springfield deserve their support. The production staff had considered a film adaptation of The Simpsons since early in the series. The show's creator, Matt Groening, felt a feature-length film would allow them to increase the show's scale and animate sequences too complex for the TV series.
The Simpsons Movie 2 Can Follow Any Story It Wants
The producers were initially worried that creating a film would have a negative effect on the series, as they did not have enough crew to focus their attention on both projects. As the series progressed, additional writers and animators were hired so that both the show and the film could be produced at the same time. Groening and Brooks invited Mike Scully and Al Jean to produce the film with them. The "strongest possible" writing team was assembled, with many of the writers from the show's early seasons being chosen. David Mirkin, Mike Reiss, George Meyer, John Swartzwelder, and Jon Vitti were selected. Ian Maxtone-Graham and Matt Selman would also join later, and Brooks, Groening, Scully, and Jean also wrote parts of the script.
While observing it using binoculars, he hears saxophone music coming from a van. Homer realizes that his family is inside and tries to rescue them by knocking the truck over with a wrecking ball. Unfortunately, that fails, and he gets hit by the wrecking ball painfully. Bart tries to break his shacks free by scratching them off, but the truck driver sprays them with tranquillizer gas, sending them unconscious. While stopping for gas, Marge is very proud of Bart for being sober, which he proves by knocking a hot dog out of Homer's hand with his slingshot.
Homer then arrives but blames everything on Bart and allows him to go to court after hearing that he would have to take a 1-hour parenting course. Walking into Krusty Burger, Ned Flanders shows some compassion towards Bart by providing him pants. Before Bart could display his frustration at Homer, Homer adopts a new pig when Krusty the Clown orders it to be killed shortly after recording a commercial nearby. Later that day, Homer does some chores, including the removal of a hornet's nest and the fixing of a sinkhole in the backyard (which he covers with a sandbox, and then using Maggie as a makeshift plug when that didn't work). After an unsuccessful attempt to fix the roof, Homer and Bart play a game of dare. After Bart shoots at Homer with a BB gun while Homer carries a load of bricks, Homer dares Bart to skateboard to Krusty Burger and back naked.
Finally, it is best to look at the true antagonist of the film, Russ Cargill, who's the head of the EPA. A money and power hungry tycoon, Cargill had a plan to dome a city in America from the start. He even mentioned that he owns the company that makes the dome, giving him a financial motive for the dome-ification. In order to achieve this, he tricked the President of the United States to pick a "random" option out of five. While President Schwarzenegger chose the third option, it's clear Cargill was going to dome a city one way or another.
Brooks was nervous about the idea, noting that "[Schwarzenegger's] opinion polls were way down", and has said that they "were he'd make a political comeback". The animators began by drawing an accurate caricature of Schwarzenegger, but one of the staff instead suggested an altered version of recurring character Rainier Wolfcastle as President. This idea was developed, with the design of Wolfcastle, himself also a caricature of Schwarzenegger, being given more wrinkles under his eyes and a different hairstyle. It’s the sort of 'brand synergy' we’ve come to expect from the long-running animated sitcom ever since Disney acquired the show when it took over Fox. The team has since produced Simpsons shorts that cross over with the worlds of Marvel, Star Wars, and even Billie Eilish.

A great way to introduce new fans to the series and to pay homage to older fans "The Simpsons Movie" is amazing. The old cast is brought back which just shows you how good this film is. The films plot is surprisingly inthralling and the non stop laughs make you wanna keep watching until the very end. The movie was the first animated film done by Toon Boom, a software that the crew would use for the show afterwards.
The credits come to a pause, where we see Mr. Burns, during the presumed bomb explosion, in his looted manor, and the depressed millionaire suggests that suicide for Smithers might cheer him up sometime. The credits briefly pause again, when we see Tom Hanks asking the audience that if they see him in real life, to leave him be. The mob has prepared a noose for every member of the Simpsons family, including Maggie (Maggie's noose has a red pacifier attached) despite the fact that they said they only wanted Homer.

But it was eventually chucked, and the episode became a part of the sitcom instead. For all of us millennials who grew up in the 90s, there hasn’t been a world without ‘The Simpsons’. We have probably known the dysfunctional family of five for as long as we have known our own. Matt Groening’s subversive animated sitcom about a working class man and his family is the longest running American sitcom in history. This December, ‘The Simpsons‘ completed its 30th year, with the family of five wreaking havoc in Springfield for 31 seasons now. The film made a total of $527,071,022 at the worldwide box office. It was the seventh highest grossing film and third highest grossing animated film of 2007.
